There is this immense amount of joy in the rush and thrill of performance or being in your prime.

​

Unfortunately, there is also stress and injuries to your body

for the sake of the performance.

 

The worst feeling is not being able to keep up with what’s being asked of you in class. That only leads to more bad habits, which ultimately won’t make you a better dancer. Whether you are recovering from an injury, graduating from your studio or working towards that company role, the one constant is that your body needs to be in its best shape to handle whatever you throw at it. After all, you’re not just a dancer, you’re a whole person too.

TAKE CARE OF YOUR BODY EQUIPMENT

The human body is an incredibly complex vessel that you get to use to guide your soul through life. Not only that, but it's the most crucial piece of "equipment" you have to use when engaging in dance and performance. It's important to honour it and take care of it the best way possible.

And how do you do this?

By treating yourself like the whole person you are and taking care of every aspect of you – body, mind and soul.
